The Osun State University has secured full accreditation for 29 academic programmes from the National Universities Commission.

This is contained in a statement issued by the university’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Ademola Adesoji, on Tuesday in Osogbo.

Adesoji explained that all academic programmes presented for accreditation in October/November 2025 received full accreditation.

He said the development affirmed the institution’s growing reputation as one of the country’s fast-rising and academically stable universities.

He stated that the approval was conveyed in a letter signed by the NUC Director of Accreditation, Abraham Chundusu, following the accreditation exercise conducted across various disciplines in the institution.

Adesoji said the accredited programmes covered Administration and Management, Allied Health Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Computing, Education, Sciences and Social Sciences.

“The achievement reflected the quality of academic programmes, modern facilities, qualified manpower, research capacity and stable academic environment in the university,” he said.

He quoted the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Odunayo Adebooye, as saying the university is ready to record more achievements.

“The 100 per cent success recorded by the university was a reflection of years of strategic planning, quality assurance and sustained investment in academic excellence.

“All the programmes presented for accreditation secured full accreditation status.

“This is another milestone in the university’s journey towards global relevance and excellence,” he quoted the vice chancellor as saying.

He attributed the achievement to the commitment of staff, students, governing council, alumni and other stakeholders, as well as the support of the Osun Government.
