All Progressives Congress Unveils List Of Disqualified House Of Reps Aspirants

The All Progressives Congress has announced the names of House of Representatives aspirants barred from participating in the party’s National Assembly primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Naija News reports that the list, made public on Saturday, includes aspirants from Ondo, Bauchi, Ebonyi, Kogi, and Rivers states.

According to the ruling party, the screening exercise was conducted by designated committees in line with approved guidelines and procedures governing the primaries.

In Ondo State, those affected include Adefisoye Tajudeen from Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, alongside Olusegun Victor Ategbole and Seun Oluwashina Ajongbolo from Akoko South-East/South-West Federal Constituency.

Also listed from Ondo were Arowole Ayodeji Samuel from Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, as well as Morufu Tosin Ibrahim, Oseni Oyeniyi and Olaleye John Adedipe from Akoko North-East/North-West Federal Constituency.

In Bauchi State, Bashir Ibrahim Bello of Darazo/Ganjuwa Federal Constituency was also among those not cleared by the party.

The APC further disqualified Idu Igariwe from Afikpo/Edda Federal Constituency in Ebonyi State and Sanni Salau Ogembe from Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency in Kogi State.

In Rivers State, the affected aspirants include retired Air Commodore John Azubuike Opara from Port Harcourt Federal Constituency, Anderson Allison Igbiki from Okrika/Ogu-Bolo Federal Constituency, Awaji Imombek Abirite from Andoni/Opobo-Nkoro Federal Constituency, and Boma Goodhead from Asari-Toru/Akuku-Toru Federal Constituency.

The party, however, did not disclose the specific reasons the aspirants failed to pass the screening exercise.
