Popular social media personality VeryDarkMan has agreed to an out-of-court settlement in his legal dispute with cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, widely known as Blord.
The decision follows the intervention of human rights activist Omoyele Sowore, who played a key role in mediating between both parties.
The disagreement, which escalated on social media, had earlier led to Blord’s remand at Kuje prison for 26 days starting April 1, 2026. Sowore had criticized the circumstances surrounding the remand and pledged to ensure Blord’s release.
Although tensions briefly rose—particularly after VeryDarkMan reacted strongly to Sowore’s involvement—the situation has since de-escalated. Blord was later granted bail on self-recognition after about two weeks in custody.
Speaking after the bail, legal counsel Marshall Abubakar confirmed that both parties are now committed to resolving the matter peacefully. He also acknowledged Sowore’s role in facilitating dialogue and commended VeryDarkMan for agreeing to an amicable resolution.
Abubakar added that efforts are underway to settle the dispute before the next court date, with plans to update the court on progress. He noted that both individuals have chosen to move past the conflict and work towards a mutual understanding.
He further described the development as a positive step, emphasizing that both Blord and VeryDarkMan are influential young figures whose contributions are important to the country’s future.
