The Cross River State House of Assembly has suspended the member representing Obubra I State Constituency, Dickson Agbor, indefinitely over alleged violent conduct, punch reported. Wole Soyinka on Wednesday led members of the National Association of Seadogs, widely known as the Pyrates Confraternity, in paying their final respects to renowned scholar Biodun Jeyifo at the Anglican Cemetery, St James the Great Cathedral Burial Ground in Ijokodo, Ibadan. The Federal Government through the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, on Tuesday announced the immediate suspension of all pilgrimages to Israel due to the security situation in the Middle East. The Executive Secretary of the Commission, Stephen Adegbite, made the disclosure in Lagos during a press briefing shortly after 500 pilgrims landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport from the 2025 Main Pilgrimage exercise. The pilgrimage exercise began December 29, 2025, with the inaugural flight departing from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. The federal government says consignments of Lenacapavir, a new drug for HIV prevention, are expected to arrive in Nigeria in March 2026.This was disclosed by the National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) in a statement on Monday, March 2.. NACA said it is advancing preparations for the introduction and rollout of Lenacapavir (LEN) as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).  Lenacapavir is a long-acting HIV prevention drug.
