Nigerian entrepreneur and celebrity barman, Cubana Chief Priest, has opened up about his fallout with Afrobeats star, Burna Boy.
Chief Priest alleged that Burna Boy targeted him because of his close friendship with fellow music star, Davido.
According to Naija News, the businessman made the revelation during an interview on The Beat 99.9 FM on Wednesday.
Speaking during the interview, Chief Priest reflected on his rise to success, noting that his journey started through apprenticeship and years of dedication. He added that success often comes with criticism, envy, and attacks.
“Success comes with a lot of hate. I started my journey from apprenticeship and service and learnt a lot about growth and perseverance. When you become successful, you begin to see how people treat you.
“I was minding my business when Burna Boy came for me on his platform, posting things that were false and unrealistic. The attacks were directed at my wealth, trying to make people disrespect what I have built. I felt hurt, and it all happened because of my relationship with Davido,” he said.
Chief Priest further praised Davido for always supporting his businesses and personal ventures.
“David has always been there for me. He launched all my clubs, restaurants, and businesses. He constantly supports me.
“He’s investing in clubs in Lagos, and I’m also making music to prove that I can do it,” he added.
