Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser on Policy Communication and Media to President Bola Tinubu, has accused Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi of consistently criticizing the country whenever it records progress under the current administration.
In a post shared on X, Bwala questioned why Obi appears to react negatively to positive developments despite seeking to lead the country.
He also alleged that the former Anambra State governor has reversed his stance on key national policies. According to Bwala, Obi previously supported the removal of fuel subsidy, the creation of state police, and the unification of the foreign exchange market before the 2023 elections but now criticizes those same policies after their implementation by the Tinubu administration.
Bwala wrote: “I don’t know why anytime Nigeria makes progress, it angers Peter Obi. It is the same Nigeria he is seeking to govern. Before the 2023 elections, he said he would remove subsidy; we did, and now he says he won’t. He said he would create state police; we did, and now he says he won’t. He said he would unify the foreign exchange system; we did, and now he says he won’t. It seems he doesn’t even know what he plans for Nigeria.”
