Lagos State lawmaker and Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliott, has expressed doubts about politicians switching political camps, arguing that such moves may not necessarily deliver the change Nigerians seek.
Speaking on The Morayo Show, Elliott said he does not see himself leaving President Bola Tinubu for Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 presidential election, questioning the differences between leading political figures.
According to him, leadership is temporary and should be approached with humility and a commitment to service, stressing that political power can disappear at any time.
Reflecting on his time representing Surulere Constituency 1, Elliott maintained that his focus has always been on delivering results, citing improvements in electricity supply and healthcare in the area.
“If I leave Asiwaju and go to Obi, what is the difference? If I leave Obi and go to Atiku, what is the difference?” he asked, adding that his style of politics is centered on service rather than personal gain.
