‘I Got A Brand-New Car After Losing APC Reps Primary’ Chief Priest Reveals

Nigerian socialite, Paschal Okechukwu, popularly known as Chief Priest, has responded to critics following his defeat in the APC primary election.

Naija News reports that Chief Priest lost the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat to the incumbent lawmaker, Canice Nwachukwu.

Speaking during a live TikTok session with Peller, the businessman stated that despite losing the election, the APC has continued to support and favour him.

According to Chief Priest, one of the party chairmen rewarded him with a brand-new car after the primary election defeat, adding that the vehicle was scheduled to be delivered the next day.

“To those insulting me, APC is taking good care of me and the party is working in my favour. One of the chairmen bought me a brand-new car for losing the election, and it will be delivered tomorrow,” he said.

In a related development, Chief Priest also claimed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu does not completely trust him because of his Igbo background and his previous association with Peter Obi.

He explained that some individuals within Tinubu’s camp view him as someone who could switch loyalties in the future due to his political history.

Chief Priest further revealed that he left Peter Obi’s political camp because he no longer wanted to keep experiencing political setbacks.
