Social media user Ifechukwu Dennis has denied allegations that he created a viral video allegedly featuring an artificial intelligence-generated voice of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Reacting to claims circulating online, Dennis clarified that he was not responsible for producing the content, insisting that he merely reposted a video he found on another social media page.
According to him, the controversial clip was already in circulation before he shared it with his followers.
“I did not create the video. I collected it from a page,” Dennis stated while responding to accusations linking him to the production of the content.
The video, which has generated widespread debate across social media platforms, reportedly features a voice alleged to be that of President Tinubu. However, questions have been raised over whether the audio was generated using artificial intelligence technology.
The controversy comes amid growing concerns about the increasing use of AI tools to create manipulated audio and video content capable of imitating public figures and influencing public opinion.
Dennis maintained that he had no involvement in the creation or editing of the clip and urged the public to distinguish between content creators and individuals who simply share already-existing material online.
The incident has sparked renewed discussions about misinformation, digital responsibility, and the challenges authorities face in identifying the original creators of AI-generated content.
As debate over the video’s authenticity continues, no official statement has been released confirming whether the audio was genuinely generated using artificial intelligence or identifying the source of the clip.
Experts have repeatedly warned that advances in AI technology make it increasingly difficult to distinguish between authentic recordings and digitally manipulated content, underscoring the need for careful verification before sharing sensitive material online.
