Nollywood actress Mide Martins is in a joyous mood after welcoming a baby boy into her family.
The movie star shared the exciting news with her fans on Instagram, posting a video from the child’s naming ceremony. In her message, Mide expressed gratitude to Allah for the new addition and warmly welcomed the newborn.
“Alhamdulilah, Alhamdulilah, Alhamdulilah Robil-Al-Ameen. Thank you, Almighty Allah, for blessing my household with a bouncing baby boy. Welcome to the world, Abdul-Gafaar Okikiola,” she wrote while congratulating her son.
The announcement has attracted congratulatory messages from colleagues, friends, and fans who joined the actress in celebrating the special moment.
Mide Martins has enjoyed several milestones in recent years. In 2025, she expressed deep gratitude after winning a Best Actress award for the second time, describing the achievement as both humbling and rewarding.
A year earlier, she received the Best Actress award at the Odunlade Adekola Film Production awards. During her acceptance speech, she reflected on the challenges she had faced throughout her career and paid tribute to her husband, acknowledging his unwavering support following the loss of her mother.
The actress was also honoured by the Sheikh Tagana International Islamic Organisation, which bestowed upon her the title of “Imole Adinni.” She described the recognition as a significant milestone in her spiritual journey and expressed appreciation for the honour.
In 2023, Mide Martins further added to her achievements by winning the “Face of Nollywood” award. At the time, she dedicated the recognition to her fans and supporters, thanking everyone who had continued to believe in and support her career.
