Pastor Adeboye Calls For Removal Of Security Chiefs Over Rising Insecurity {VIDEO}

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called on the Federal Government to take decisive action over Nigeria’s worsening security situation, urging that security chiefs be given a 90-day ultimatum to eliminate terrorists or resign from their positions.

Adeboye made the appeal in a video shared on X on Tuesday, where he expressed deep concern over the continued wave of attacks and kidnappings across the country.

He stressed that service chiefs must be held accountable for delivering results in the fight against terrorism, insisting that stronger measures are needed to restore public safety.

According to him, government authorities should act swiftly and decisively, stating that if security chiefs fail to neutralize terrorist groups within the stipulated timeframe, they should step aside.

He also urged the government to expand its focus beyond frontline attackers, calling for those funding and supporting terrorist activities to be identified and dealt with regardless of their status or influence.

Adeboye further recalled that he had once made a similar suggestion to a former Nigerian president, noting that although such an order was issued at the time, it was not fully enforced before the deadline elapsed.

He said the experience highlights the need for stronger political will and stricter enforcement of security directives in addressing Nigeria’s ongoing security challenges.
