PSC Publishes List Of 50,000 Successful Applicants In Nigeria Police Recruitment

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced the release of the list of 50,000 successful applicants recruited into the Nigeria Police Force.

The commission disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday by its Head of Protocol and Public Relations, Torty Njoku Kalu, following the completion of the written examination and other stages of the recruitment exercise.

According to the PSC, the recruitment process was conducted in a comprehensive, transparent, inclusive and equitable manner, with the participation of key government agencies and stakeholders.

The commission stated that the exercise was carried out in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, state career and counselling departments, as well as the Police Community Relations Committee.

It explained that the involvement of these organisations was aimed at ensuring fairness, transparency and adherence to the federal character principle throughout the recruitment process.

The PSC urged all applicants who participated in the written examination to check their application status through the official police recruitment portal.

According to the commission, the portal — npfapplication.psc.gov.ng — will become accessible from 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026. Applicants are expected to log in using the details they provided during registration to verify their results.

The commission also advised candidates to rely only on information published on the official recruitment portal and official PSC notifications.

It added that successful applicants would receive confirmation through the email addresses and phone numbers submitted during the application process.

The notifications will contain details of the next phase of the recruitment exercise.

The PSC further stated that successful candidates would later be directed to report to their designated police training institutions for medical screening and documentation.

The commission noted that the dates, times and training centres for each successful applicant will be communicated in due course, with the medical and documentation exercise serving as the final step before formal police training begins.
