Real Madrid are growing increasingly confident of securing Vinicius Junior’s long-term future after making significant progress in negotiations over a new contract for the Brazilian forward.
Fresh discussions between the Spanish giants and the 26-year-old winger have reportedly moved in a positive direction, with both parties optimistic about reaching a final agreement.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed on đť•Ź that Real Madrid believe Vinicius is close to accepting the club’s latest contract proposal.
According to Romano, both the club and the player’s representatives left the latest meeting encouraged, while manager JosĂ© Mourinho is also said to have played a role in the ongoing negotiations.
If the remaining details are resolved, an official announcement on the contract extension could be made in the coming days.
The renewed optimism comes as a major boost for Real Madrid, who are determined to keep one of their most influential players at the Santiago Bernabéu for the long term.
Madrid Agree Deal for Yan Diomande
In a separate transfer development, Real Madrid have reportedly reached an agreement with RB Leipzig to sign highly rated Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande.
The Spanish club will pay an initial €125 million, with a further €15 million in performance-related bonuses, taking the total value of the deal to €140 million, according to The Athletic.
The transfer has already been approved by Leipzig’s board, with Diomande expected to undergo a medical before completing his move to Madrid.
The 19-year-old is set to leave Leipzig’s pre-season camp in Austria once he receives clearance from the Bundesliga club.
Diomande recently returned from international duty with Ivory Coast at the World Cup and joined Leipzig’s pre-season preparations earlier this week while negotiations entered their final stages.
Although he missed the club’s initial trip to Austria, Leipzig maintained that his absence was due to illness rather than ongoing transfer talks.
