Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has confirmed receiving an invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The invitation followed a petition submitted to the anti-graft agency by lawyer Blessing Agbomhere of Blessing Agbomhere & Partners, calling for a thorough investigation into the financial dealings, sponsorships, and funding sources linked to VeryDarkMan and activist-lawyer Deji Adeyanju.
Reacting to the development on his social media page, VeryDarkMan described the EFCC invitation as an attempt to intimidate and silence critics of the government.
The activist alleged that individuals linked to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) were behind the petition, claiming the move was aimed at restricting criticism of the administration.
“They want to stop us from speaking against this government that has failed to protect Nigerians. So, they used their people to write petitions,” he stated in a post shared on his Instagram page.
VeryDarkMan maintained that the investigation was politically motivated and vowed to continue expressing his views on issues affecting the country.
