Kenyan nominated senator, Karen Nyamu, has gone viral after a video showing her sucking her thumb during a Senate sitting surfaced online.
The footage, which was captured during a Senate session on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, shows Nyamu seated in the chamber while using her mobile phone before appearing to put her thumb in her mouth.
While some social media users found the video amusing, others questioned whether such conduct was appropriate during an official parliamentary proceeding.
