Organisers reschedule the 18th Headies Awards Toronto finale to April 2027, announcing additional activities across Nigeria and Canada.
Organisers of The Headies Awards have postponed the Toronto finale of the 18th edition to April 10 and 11, 2027, following plans to expand the event’s programme across Nigeria and Canada.
The finale, initially scheduled to take place earlier, will now form part of an expanded series of activities designed to bring together music industry professionals, creatives and business stakeholders in both countries.
According to the organisers, the revised programme will feature workshops, seminars, music industry events and a business and investment summit.
They explained that some activities would still take place during the originally scheduled event period, although the main awards finale in Toronto, Canada, had been moved to April next year.
The organisers also apologised to attendees who had already made travel arrangements ahead of the initial dates, acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the postponement.
The 18th Headies Awards will now conclude with the two-day Toronto finale on April 10 and 11, 2027.
