Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has declared that the outcome of the 2027 presidential election is already certain, expressing confidence that President Bola Tinubu will secure at least 95 per cent of votes across Northern Nigeria.
Speaking on Tuesday during the flag-off of the 122-kilometre Kaduna–Birnin Gwari Road project, Sani credited the Tinubu administration for ongoing and planned federal infrastructure projects in Kaduna State and the wider North.
According to the governor, Kaduna remains the political and economic hub of Northern Nigeria, making its development essential to the region’s overall progress.
“We have every reason to appreciate what the President has done for us. Whether we like it or not, Kaduna is the capital of Northern Nigeria, and its development benefits the entire region,” he said.
Sani maintained that the people of Kaduna would continue to support Tinubu, insisting that the 2027 presidential contest had effectively been decided.
“I have no doubt in my mind that the 2027 election has been concluded, and we are giving President Tinubu at least 95 per cent of the total votes. I stand to be challenged,” the governor stated.
The governor also highlighted key road projects being executed by the Federal Government, including the ongoing Western Bypass from the Abuja Junction to Kawo Motor Park, supervised by the Federal Ministry of Works.
He added that construction work on the Eastern Bypass, which he described as vital to Kaduna residents, is expected to resume within the next two weeks following discussions with the Minister of Works.
Sani said the projects demonstrate the Tinubu administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure and boosting development in Kaduna State.
‘No Previous President Did This for the North’
The governor further praised President Tinubu’s investment in Northern Nigeria, arguing that no previous administration had undertaken similar development projects in the region.
Sani recalled that he had recently challenged critics to identify any former Nigerian president who had done more for the North than Tinubu.
He noted that former Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari and the Minister of Works had also outlined several ongoing federal projects across Northern Nigeria, describing them as evidence of the administration’s commitment to the region.
Questioning why previous leaders failed to prioritise similar initiatives, Sani concluded by thanking President Tinubu for what he described as his commitment to the North and the welfare of its people.
