Minister of Works, David Umahi, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu represents the Biafra Igbos have been looking for.
Speaking during the APC presidential primary election in Umunaga Ward, Ohaozara LGA of Ebonyi, Umahi said the turnout of 5,009 APC members demonstrated strong support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.
The Minister described Ebonyi as a stronghold of the All Progressives Congress and insisted the South-East had benefited significantly from the current administration through “juicy appointments” and major infrastructure projects.
According to him, President Tinubu has integrated the South-East into national politics through key appointments and developmental projects.
“Bola Tinubu is the Biafra we have been looking for. A man who has integrated the entire South-East, given us juicy appointments and very important infrastructure,” he said.
Umahi also defended Tinubu’s economic reforms, arguing that although Nigerians initially experienced hardship, the policies helped stabilise the economy.
“The macroeconomy is stable and the President is now taking it down to the microeconomy. The worst is over and Nigerians will soon begin to see the benefits,” he said.
