Fuji Star Remi Aluko Opens Up About Losing His Sight to Glaucoma

Veteran Fuji musician Remi Aluko has disclosed that he is currently living without his sight as a result of glaucoma, a condition he has battled for several years.

Speaking during an interview on Oyinmomo TV, the singer revealed that his vision has deteriorated significantly despite efforts to manage the illness, including undergoing eye surgery in the past.

Aluko explained that many people are unaware of his health struggles because he has chosen not to let the condition define his life or limit his activities.

According to him, his eyesight has worsened to the point where he now considers himself effectively blind. However, he said he has adapted to the situation and remains capable of caring for himself and moving around independently.

The Fuji star noted that he intentionally refuses to dwell on his condition, stressing that maintaining a positive outlook has helped him avoid depression.

“I am a glaucoma patient and currently cannot see. Many people do not know what I am going through because I do not allow the condition to weigh me down. There is practically no difference between me and a blind person now, but I have learned to take care of myself and live independently,” he said.

Aluko added that he remains grateful for life and is determined to focus on what he can still do rather than the challenges posed by his health condition.
