The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reminded eligible Nigerians who have not yet registered to vote that the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise will officially end on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
The electoral body issued the reminder in a public notice shared on its official X account on Saturday, encouraging prospective voters to complete their registration before the deadline.
INEC stated that eligible applicants can register through its dedicated CVR online portal or visit any designated registration centre nationwide for physical assistance.
In its message, the commission urged Nigerians not to delay, stressing that the opportunity to participate in future elections begins with voter registration.
The commission also advised individuals who require in-person assistance to visit any of its state offices, local government area (LGA) offices, or other approved registration centres to complete the process.
According to INEC, all registration centres will continue to operate daily—including weekends—from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. until the registration exercise officially closes on July 26.
The electoral body reaffirmed that applicants can complete the entire registration process online or seek assistance at designated centres if necessary, urging all eligible citizens to take advantage of the remaining time before the deadline.
