Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has publicly called out controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo following a social media disagreement over the behavior of the actress’s fans.
The exchange began after Olunloyo took to Instagram to address Daniels’ supporters, accusing them of directing what she described as toxic comments and negative energy towards her.
In a post directed at the actress’s followers, Olunloyo wrote, “Dear Regina’s IG fans,. Please take your toxicity and negative energy far away from me.”
Her complaint, however, attracted a sharp response from Daniels, who questioned why the journalist was addressing her fans and appearing to involve herself in matters concerning her.
The actress suggested that she had deliberately stayed away from online confrontations in recent times because she was no longer interested in unnecessary social media drama.
Reacting in a lengthy and sarcastic comment, Daniels wrote:
“Sorry I have to publicly laugh this laugh, pls….” Aunty Wery…who sent you? Just because I am now a retired wahala person, I kept you quiet to be zuzuing… don’t you know someone staying one place recovering from what would have killed the likes of you will be itching to faint somebody?”
She further questioned Olunloyo’s decision to tell her supporters to stay away from her, suggesting that the journalist was already familiar with the kind of online reactions she was now complaining about.
Daniels also made sarcastic remarks about Olunloyo’s age and experience, insisting that her decision to remain quiet should not be mistaken for an inability to respond.
The public exchange has added another layer to the ongoing social media conversations surrounding the actress, whose personal life has attracted considerable public attention in recent months.
Although the disagreement appears to have started with Olunloyo’s complaint about online harassment, Daniels’ response has shifted attention to the strained relationship between the two women.
For now, neither side has indicated whether the exchange will end with the Instagram comments or develop into another round of public confrontation.
