Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has made it clear that she no longer wishes to be addressed by her former husband’s surname, Idibia.
Naija News reports that the actress was enjoying a night out when a club’s LED screen introduced her as “Annie Idibia.” Noticing the error, she immediately requested that her name be updated to reflect her original surname, Annie Macaulay.
Annie later shared the moment on her Instagram Stories, showing her reaction to the mix-up. In her first post, she emphasised that she no longer uses the Idibia name and prefers her birth surname.
“Zenbah the other night … no Idibia,” she wrote.
A follow-up video showed the corrected display on the club’s screen, now reading “Annie Macaulay.” She expressed satisfaction with the change, adding:
“More like it … 1 Correct!!!”
In a separate story, Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage opened up about her dating life. In an interview with Korty EO, the mother of one revealed that she has had only one meaningful relationship, which ended tragically after her partner passed away.
Aside from her late lover, she described her other relationships as largely unsuccessful. “There is hardly any relationship I would look back at and see anything positive. They are all d*cks! Actually, there is one, but he passed away. May his soul rest in peace. He was incredible,” she said.
