Popular Nigerian TikTok streamer Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has suspended his studies at Caleb University just days after resuming academic activities.
Naija News reports that the development came to light after a voice note shared by the content creator went viral on social media.
In the audio message, Peller explained that he struggled to adapt to the traditional classroom setting, noting that it did not align with his current lifestyle or career direction.
He said spending long hours in lectures without making money felt unproductive, especially when compared to the income he earns from streaming and content creation.
Peller added that the routine of sitting through lectures, taking notes, and listening for several hours did not match his personal ambitions at this point in his life.
He also mentioned feeling out of place among his classmates, observing that many of them appeared significantly older than he is.
Speaking humorously, the streamer suggested that he might consider returning to university later in life, possibly in his thirties or forties.
Mental fatigue was another major factor behind his decision. Peller described the classroom environment as mentally draining and said he needed time away to rest and focus on himself.
“I will sit in class for like seven hours, writing and looking around, not making any money? God forbid,” he said.
“When I entered the school, I saw that everybody was old. I think I need to get old too—maybe 30 or 40 years—before going back. I’m tired.
“I need a break from the classroom environment,” he added.
