American singer and media personality Ray J has sparked concern online after claiming doctors told him he has only a few months left to live.

Ray J has given fans an update on his health following a recent hospitalization.

The singer was admitted to the hospital earlier this month after developing pneumonia and experiencing heart-related complications, according to reports. On Sunday, he took to social media to share how he is currently doing and to thank supporters for their prayers.

Ray J revealed that his condition remains serious, explaining that his heart is functioning at only about 25 percent. He expressed gratitude for the concern shown by fans, noting that while his health is not in good shape, he remains hopeful as long as he stays focused and committed to recovery.

In a recent Instagram Live session later shared on X, the musician said doctors had warned that his condition could shorten his lifespan. He admitted that years of alcohol and drug abuse had taken a toll on his heart, adding that he previously felt “invincible.”

Ray J was reportedly hospitalized in Las Vegas on January 7 after suffering severe pneumonia and heart pain. Medical sources said he underwent X-rays and an echocardiogram, though specific results were not disclosed.

This is not the first time the singer has battled pneumonia. He experienced a similar health scare in 2021 and was hospitalized in Miami for treatment. At the time, his longtime manager, David Weintraub, confirmed the illness was not contagious and said doctors kept him under observation for several days as a precaution.

Despite initially being placed in a COVID unit during treatment, Weintraub clarified that Ray J did not have COVID-19. He was placed on oxygen and used an inhaler to help with breathing during his recovery.

In a message shared through his manager, Ray J thanked fans for their love and prayers, saying he appreciates the continued support and hopes to recover fully. In his most recent video, he once again expressed gratitude to supporters for standing by him during his ongoing health challenges.
