Internet personality Isaac Fayose has declared that the 2027 presidential election will be defined by former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, insisting that he remains the only viable option for Nigerians.

Fayose made the assertion on Thursday while reacting to the large crowd that turned out for Obi during the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council election campaign.

In a post shared on his Facebook page, Fayose described the turnout as a clear indication of Obi’s rising political influence, arguing that the former governor is the central figure in the build-up to the next general election.

“Massive crowd shows up for Peter Obi at the FCT council election campaign. It’s Peter Obi or nothing. It will be loud,” Fayose wrote.

Naija News reports that Obi was in the FCT on Monday to campaign for candidates of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) ahead of the Area Council elections.

During the campaign, Obi visited several locations across the territory, addressing supporters and community members.

Speaking at the events, Obi said his involvement was aimed at engaging directly with grassroots communities and promoting a leadership approach rooted in service, accountability and people-focused governance.

He stressed that strong leadership at the local level is essential for building a responsive and effective democratic system.

The FCT campaign and the impressive turnout have since sparked conversations within political circles, with Obi’s supporters viewing the development as an early indication of what the 2027 presidential race could look like.
