President Bola Tinubu has approved a new round of appointments across key government agencies and institutions.
According to a statement released on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President appointed Hon. Magaji Da’u Aliyu as the Managing Director of the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO), Abuja. SHESCTO is tasked with research and development in science and technology and oversees the operation of a nuclear research facility.
In the power sector, President Tinubu also appointed Engr. Adesayo Olusegun Michael as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA).
The President further constituted the Board of NEMSA with the following appointments: Engr. Aliyu Abdulazeez as Executive Director (Technical); Ikechi Clara Nwosu as Chairman (South East); Zubair Abdur’rauf Idris as Member; Igba Elizabeth as Member (North Central); Sani Alhaji Shehu as Member (North East); Adeyemi Adetunji as Member (South West); Engr. Emmanuel Eneji Nkpe as Member (South South); and Engr. Charles Ogbonna Asogwa as Member (South East).
In addition, President Tinubu nominated Amina Gamawa, representing Bauchi State, and Abdullahi Muktar, representing Kaduna State, as Commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
Onanuga disclosed that the nominees’ names have been forwarded to the Senate for screening and confirmation.
