Popular socialite and businessman, Cubana Chief Priest, has declared that he will oppose Peter Obi in the 2027 presidential election.
Naija News reports that he made the statement during an exchange with followers on Instagram.
A social media user had asked him, “So in simple terms, you are working against Obi in the upcoming presidential election. lol.”
Confirming the claim, Cubana Chief Priest responded, “Yes, and I hope it’s not a crime. I worked for Obi in the last election, even while serving as Special Adviser to an APC governor.”
His response triggered further reactions from other users.
One commenter referenced his past encounter with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), warning that the same government he now appears to support once had him arrested and could do so again.
Dismissing the concern, Cubana Chief Priest replied, “If you’ve never been invited by the EFCC in Nigeria, then you’ve not made it.”
The conversation later shifted to the Biafra issue and political backing from the South-East.
Another user argued that if prominent figures from the region had thrown stronger support behind Obi, he might have emerged victorious in the last election, adding that everyone is entitled to support any candidate of their choice.
Responding sharply, Cubana Chief Priest wrote, “Mind your business and support whoever you want. As much as you talk about Biafra, how much development have you brought to the South-East?”
