Nigerian actress Scarlet Gomez has opened up about seeking therapy after her role in the TV series Wura, revealing that the character took a serious emotional toll on her mental health.
In a YouTube video shared by Paul and Baaz Character, she explained that the psychological impact lingered long after filming ended, influencing her behavior and interactions in real life.
“I had to go for therapy after Wura because it really affected me,” she said, adding that she struggled to switch back to her normal self while working on other projects.
Gomez noted that her husband eventually noticed a change in her attitude, describing her as becoming “insensitive,” which made her realize how deeply the role had affected her.
Reflecting on the experience, she emphasized that stepping out of a character can be more challenging than getting into one, especially after portraying it for a long time.
