Senate President Godswill Akpabio has stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration did not promise Nigerians instant solutions, but rather a structured and deliberate approach to national development.
Akpabio made the statement during the commissioning of a seven-kilometre road and bridge project in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), where he said President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda was focused on delivering long-term progress.
According to him, the government promised “structural, calculated and deliberate progress” aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians beyond economic figures.
His comments come amid public concerns over rising living costs and the impact of recent government policies, including the removal of fuel subsidy.
The Senate President also praised FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, describing him as a “miracle worker” for the pace of infrastructure development in Abuja.
Akpabio commended President Tinubu for appointing Wike to lead the FCT, saying the minister’s projects demonstrate the administration’s commitment to delivering visible development.
