“Wike and Fubara Can’t Secure Rivers for Tinubu Without Election Manipulation — Fayose

If you want, I can give 3–4 alternative punchy versions suitable for news headlines. Do you want me to do that? Isaac Fayose, a brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose, has claimed that neither the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, nor Governor Siminalayi Fubara, can secure Rivers State for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election without electoral manipulation. Fayose made the claim in a video shared on his Facebook page on Saturday while commenting on the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State. According to him, both Wike and Fubara lack the grassroots support required to win the state for the APC in a free and fair election. “Make we no deceive ourselves. Both Wike and Fubara, none of them can win Rivers election for APC o...

According to Adichie, her son passed away due to complications at Euracare Hospital, where he had been taken for an MRI scan and central line insertion. She claimed that he was sedated with propofol but was not adequately monitored, leading to loss of responsiveness, seizures, and ultimately cardiac arrest. Adichie said her son “would be alive today if not for an incident at Euracare Hospital on January 6,” when he underwent t...

Fubara’s Position in APC Uncertain – Tonye Cole Sounds Warning

Former All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Rivers State, Tonye Cole, has warned that Governor Siminalayi Fubara cannot be regarded as a legitimate member of the APC in the state. Speaking on Channels Television, Cole argued that Fubara aligned himself with the wrong faction of the party. Naija News reports that Fubara defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC in December 2025, a move that was publicly endorsed by the party’s national leadership. He was later issued an APC membership card by Tony Okocha, who heads one of the party’s factions in Rivers State. However, Cole maintained that the Emeka Beke-led group remains the authentic leadership of the APC in Rivers, insisting that the governor made the wrong decision by joining the Okocha fac...

Calling Wizkid ‘New Fela’ Is an Insult – Seun Kuti Blasts Fans

Grammy-nominated musician Seun Kuti, son of late Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, has condemned comparisons between Afrobeats star Wizkid and his father, describing such claims as disrespectful and insulting. Seun made the remarks during a recent Instagram livestream, where he warned Wizkid’s fanbase, popularly known as Wizkid FC, to stop referring to the singer as a modern-day version of Fela. According to him, likening Wizkid—or any contemporary artist—to Fela diminishes the legacy and impact of the Afrobeat pioneer. “Wizkid FC should keep Fela’s name out of your mouths,” Seun said. “Trying to brand your artiste as the new Fela is an insult. When it became obvious that the shoes were too big to fill, and people like me refused to tolerate that disrespect, you became upset. B...

The bank also assumed an average exchange rate of N1,451.63 to the dollar in the fourth quarter of 2025 and N1,400 to the dollar in 2026. These assumptions are supported by expectations of improved foreign exchange market efficiency, stronger capital inflows, and a current account surplus.  The ou...
