Wike Criticises Fubara Over Budget Delay, Second-Term Focus
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has accused Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, of neglecting governance in favour of pursuing his 2027 re-election ambition.
Speaking during a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday, Wike expressed concern over what he described as misplaced priorities by the governor. He alleged that Fubara has yet to present a budget to the Rivers State House of Assembly, while focusing on securing a second term in office.
Wike warned that the delay in submitting the budget could disrupt government operations and hinder the delivery of essential services to residents of the state.
