Media personality Chude Jideonwo has spoken publicly about his long-standing battle with Tourette Syndrome.
Tourette Syndrome is a neurodevelopmental condition that causes involuntary movements and sounds, often beyond a person’s control.
In an interview with BBC News Africa, Jideonwo disclosed that he was diagnosed in his 20s but kept it private for years following medical advice to avoid stigma.
Reflecting on the experience, he explained that he became more aware of the condition in his late 20s, describing it as a neurological issue that can feel like the body “misfiring.”
