Popular Nigerian TikTok personality, Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, widely known as Jarvis, has offered relationship advice to singles as she prepares for her white wedding with fellow content creator, Peller.
Jarvis urged young Nigerians not to rush into marriage because of societal pressure, stressing that financial stability should come first before making such a lifelong commitment.
She also suggested that couples can reduce the financial burden of weddings by holding their traditional and white wedding ceremonies in different years instead of organising both at the same time.
Speaking during a recent livestream, she said, “If you don’t have money, don’t get married. Please don’t rush into it.
“If you’re planning to get married, you can have your traditional wedding this year and the white wedding the following year.
“We almost postponed our wedding, but even if we delayed it for another 50 years, we would probably still feel unprepared.”
It would be recalled that Jarvis and Peller recently announced that their white wedding is scheduled to take place on August 1, 2026.
The couple traditionally tied the knot in Benin City, Edo State, last month.
