Veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku has responded to growing public concern about his health after a viral video showed him in Abuja over the weekend.
Naija News reports that the footage, recorded in the Wuse 2 area of Abuja, captured the actor lying by a roadside, talking to himself while holding a disposable cup. The video quickly circulated across social media, prompting widespread speculation about his condition.
However, in a fresh video shared by a man who said he met the actor on Tuesday, Anuku appeared calm and composed as he addressed the reactions sparked by the earlier clip.
Speaking directly to those expressing concern, the veteran actor dismissed the speculation, insisting that he is doing well and urging critics to focus their attention elsewhere.
According to him, “Y’all haven’t seen anything yet. Y’all should face your government and leave me the hell alone. If you don’t have a better thing to do, go do something. I’m good.”
The actor’s response comes days after his manager, Moses Allen, defended him against claims of mental instability. Allen maintained that Anuku is mentally sound, explaining that his expressive and unconventional mannerisms as an actor are often misunderstood by the public.
