Reno Omokri Says Tinubu Nominated Him as Ambassador to Four Countries

Former presidential aide and social commentator Reno Omokri has disclosed that President Bola Tinubu nominated him to serve as Nigeria’s ambassador to four countries across Central and South America.

Omokri made the revelation while responding to questions from a follower on his Facebook page regarding his diplomatic appointment and comparisons with another nominee, Professor Mahmood Yakubu.

According to him, his nomination differs from a typical ambassadorial posting because he has been assigned to represent Nigeria in four countries simultaneously.

He explained that each country has its own government and president, making the appointment process more complex as diplomatic approvals must be secured from multiple foreign authorities before the posting can be finalized.

Omokri noted that serving concurrently in four nations requires a more extensive clearance process than appointments involving a single country.

He wrote: “His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, nominated me to serve concurrently as Ambassador to four countries in Central and South America. Therefore, the processes involved differ from those of others because I am being posted to four different nations with four different Presidents.”
