Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has spoken candidly about his strained relationship with his twin brother, Peter Okoye, revealing that the issues between them extend far beyond their music careers.
In an interview with Tribune, the former P-Square star said the disagreement has deeply affected their bond, describing it as a matter of family, trust, and personal betrayal rather than just the breakup of their iconic music duo.
Rudeboy said the events surrounding their fallout left him heartbroken and damaged the trust they once shared as brothers, making it difficult for him to move on.
He explained that while many fans continue to hope for a P-Square reunion, they may not fully understand the emotional pain behind the public dispute.
The singer also disclosed that he had chosen to remain silent on several occasions to protect the family’s image and avoid fueling further controversy.
According to Rudeboy, restoring their relationship would require more than public appeals for reconciliation, as the underlying issues are deeply personal.
He added that his focus is now on raising his children, advancing his music career, and safeguarding his peace of mind.
Speaking on the possibility of forgiveness, Rudeboy said:
“I don’t think I can forgive my twin brother. What happened is something I never expected from my own blood. The problem is not music. It’s deeper than that. It’s about family, trust and betrayal. I have remained silent on several occasions in the past to protect the family’s image. Some actions leave permanent scars. Peace of mind now takes priority over everything else.”
