Police Arrest Adeleke’s Media Aide In Early-Morning Raid As Wife Alleges Forced Entry

Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested Alalade Bukola Felix, a Special Assistant on Media to Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, popularly known as Machiavelli.

The arrest reportedly took place around 1 a.m. on Monday at the governor’s aide’s residence.

According to reports, police officers arrived at Alalade’s home and asked him to come outside. His wife, Folakemi, however, alleged that the officers forced their way into the residence after the family declined to open the door because they could not immediately verify the identity of the men outside.

Folakemi said she noticed lights outside the house and woke her husband after hearing the officers calling his name and demanding that he come out.

She alleged that the operatives eventually broke through the door and entered the residence before taking her husband away.

According to her, the men identified themselves as police officers but did not specify the unit or command they were attached to.

She further disclosed that the family was later informed that Alalade had been taken to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Osogbo.

Folakemi said the family had yet to be informed of the specific offence for which the governor’s aide was arrested.

The circumstances surrounding the arrest, including the reason for the police operation and whether any formal charges have been filed, remain unclear.
