Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, has criticised President Bola Tinubu over the rising cost of living and insecurity in Nigeria, saying his administration has made life increasingly difficult for citizens.
Many Nigerian families are deeply struggling to afford basic necessities, while many citizens continued to live in fear over insecurity and other attacks.
Atiku on Wednesday made this remarks in a post on his verify X handle, urging voters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of building a better future when elected.
In quote, “My fellow Nigerians, young and old, I know the pain you are carrying,” Atiku wrote.
He also raise a concern that parents are worried about feeding their children, and pay school fees, while pensioners had to choose between buying food and purchasing medication.
Further more THe also noted that many young Nigerians were struggling financially despite working hard, as transport fares, rent and other essential expenses consumed their earnings.
“No family should have to face hunger and insecurity at the same time. We cannot allow this hardship and fear to become the future our children inherit,” he said.
The ADC chieftain called on eligible voters to collect and safeguard their PVCs, describing the cards as instruments for citizens to express their choices and demand political change through the ballot.
“Bola made life expensive. I will work to make life affordable again and restore the security every Nigerian deserves,” he stated.
He urged Nigerians across different generations to unite in pursuit of a country where families could live with dignity, safety and hope.
