Sammy Daniels, the brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has reportedly been arrested by the police while streaming live on social media.
According to reports, the incident occurred on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, where Sammy was said to be with a friend when law enforcement officers approached them. Viewers witnessed the moment unfold before the live video abruptly cut off.
The reason for the arrest remains unclear, as neither the police nor Regina Daniels has released an official statement on the matter.
The development comes amid an ongoing public dispute within the Daniels family. During an Instagram live session, Regina Daniels alleged that her husband, billionaire politician Ned Nwoko, was responsible for the police action.
She also denied claims that her family took $40,000 from Nwoko, insisting that he does not keep cash at home.
Meanwhile, Senator Ned Nwoko has released documents and messages in response to the accusations made by his wife. His media team stated that the materials include a WhatsApp message dated October 17, medical and therapy records, and statements from staff members.
The senator’s team dismissed allegations of domestic abuse, describing them as an attempt to divert attention from long-standing health and behavioural issues. They added that independent toxicology reports allegedly indicated the presence and misuse of multiple substances, concerns they claim were raised privately months before the matter became public.
