The Interview
How is the music business going for you as an artist and a producer?
So far so good. We thank you for the gift of life, though we have not made the big money yet, but the dream and hope of making it big is the goal. taking every step to make sure we get there
How long have you been doing music?
I have been doing it for more than two decades, since the year 2002
Has that combined being an artist and producer?
Ok, let me break it down. I started as an artist, writing my songs and rehearsing. with a crew called CLASH BOYZ in the early 2000s in Benin, but I have had this flow in me of combining sounds whenever someone is singing, trying to use anything around me to create one.
In the year 2005, I and my crew had traveled from Benin to Lagos to record some songs with a popular producer by the name of Omonlolu, one of the hitmakers of the 2face African Queen and Grass to Grace album.
I discovered my producing talent; after producing two tracks, the third was so difficult that after about an hour, Omonlolu could not help, so I had to have him sequence the chorus according to our rehearsing tone.
Was there a time you took a break from the music business?
No, there was never a time I went on a break. I am a studio boy; it’s been studio and music for me all my life to date. You might not be hearing from me; that does not mean that I am not doing anything.
Do you sing in the bathroom?
Well, it’s more like a default setting for every human; every human on earth sings, but not all are musically talented or are professional singers.
Can you date a fan?
Hahahahaha That question is full; at the end of it, it’s still a question anyway. for me is not a bad thing, and I don’t see anything wrong in dating a fan, mostly that crazy fan who is always crazy about you and all that you do. Some don’t even mind buying a ticket to watch you perform abroad
Who is your female celebrity crush?
Hahahahaa, in here in Nigeria it is Destiny Etiko, and outside it is Shenseea.
So tell us more about the album project.
This album is one of the biggest projects in my life. It’s been a long time coming, you know. Music is what I do; I’ve been putting in a lot of effort, finance, and time. sleepless night just To make sure I achieve my goal
How long have you been working on this album project?
Hmmmm, that’s close to about thirteen years.
What took you so long? Did you take a break, or what happened?
No, there was never a time I took a break. One of my logos is “never give up.” For anything I start, I make sure I finish it. It is now my major project, but I have been working on it underground. Record one track, keep it, and start working on the next.
I have recorded over a hundred tracks, but I have to add and pick the best to make eighteen tracks.
You produce, mix, and master all the tracks?
Yeah, but I have one or two assistant producers with their ideal to spice up the production, but my ideal is the major plan. I only mastered four or five tracks from the album.
Did you feature any top artists?
No, I did not feature any big ones like 2face, Davido, Wizkid, Simi, or any. Well, how I would have my way if I had my way. You know, getting to reach these top artists is not an easy job, and some of them look down on the upcoming artists. Knowing fully well, they too came from there.
I believe in these so-called upcoming artists so much because you see more talent in them. I have worked on this album, as this album stands as a stepping stone for them.
Have you fixed the album release date?
I am yet to announce the album release date as the digital store
What is the title of the album?
The album is titled Elevation.
What motivated them to name the album the Elevation?
It is an inspiration from God. The album has a flow of all arms of life. I have rock, Afro, dancehall, RNB, trap, hip-hop, and more
Are you in an endorsement or in partnership with the Maximillian design?
Well, I will call it partnership or endorsement. I will say we believe in each other’s dream, and we are working together. The Maxilian design is into both male, female, and children’s clothes, designing both shows, bag garget, and more.
Have you shot a video from the album?
Yes, I have shot a video and am working on another video.
How can I get any of the Maximilian designs?
Well, you can log on our website and place your order
How long does it take for orders to reach their destination?
It takes about fourteen days for any order to get to Nigeria, and within two days it reaches Europe, America, and Canada.
Are you married?
Well, I am single, not yet married, and not in a relationship at the moment.
