“If Anything Happens to Me, Hold Apostle Responsible” — Eucharia Anunobi Raises Alarm

Nollywood actress and evangelist, Eucharia Anunobi, has raised serious concerns about her safety, claiming that both her life and ministry are under grave threat.

According to reports, Anunobi posted a video on Instagram on Sunday in which she warned that any harm to her person, family members, or properties—whether in Nigeria or abroad—should be attributed to Apostle Psalm Okpe, the founder of Fresh Oil Ministry in Egbeda, Lagos, and his family.

In the emotional video, the actress also stated that she is prepared to undergo a medical examination to prove that she has remained sexually inactive for nearly 14 years, since her ordination into ministry.

Anunobi explained that she decided to speak publicly following the circulation of various stories about her online. She emphasized that she remains steadfast in her divine calling and would not allow distractions or attacks to derail her ministry.

She revealed that Apostle Okpe was the one who ordained her and that she previously served as an associate pastor in his church. However, she said that over time she began to observe practices she described as troubling, unhealthy, and morally questionable, including what she termed transactional methods of running the ministry.

According to her, the situation became unbearable, prompting her to formally request to exit the ministry towards the end of 2015. She further alleged that despite her departure, Okpe continued for years to claim she was still under his ministry—an assertion she described as false.

Anunobi also reacted to allegations attributed to Okpe that he had been romantically involved with her for several years. She dismissed the claim as malicious, saying it caused her severe emotional distress and formed part of a sustained attempt to tarnish her reputation and discredit her ministry.

Confirming legal action, the actress stated that the matter is now before the court, adding that she has filed a defamation lawsuit against Okpe.

In a strongly worded statement, she wrote that her life is in danger and insisted that any physical harm or loss involving her, her loved ones, or her properties should be traced to Apostle Psalm Okpe and his family, while reiterating her willingness to submit to medical verification of her claims.
