Popular Nigerian comedian and Nollywood actor Adebowale Adedayo, widely known as Mr Macaroni, has added another major achievement to his career after graduating with a Master of Arts degree with distinction in Performance (Acting) from the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London.
The entertainer announced the achievement on Wednesday, November 4, through a video shared on his Instagram page, where he celebrated the successful completion of his academic journey.
Expressing gratitude, Mr. Macaroni thanked God, his family, friends, and supporters for standing by him throughout the program.
The comedian admitted that earning the degree was not an easy experience, explaining that the academic journey challenged him both personally and professionally.
However, he described the experience as worthwhile, noting that it had contributed significantly to his growth and development as a performer.
“Completing this degree challenged me in so many ways, but I am glad to have embarked on this journey of personal and professional development,” he wrote.
His announcement was met with an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans, colleagues, and other entertainment industry figures, many of whom praised him for investing in his craft despite his established success in the entertainment industry.
Actor Uzor Arukwe celebrated the achievement, writing: “You outdid yourself, Debo! Congratulations, brother.”
Popular comedian AY also congratulated him, affectionately describing him as his brother and “table tennis school son” while wishing him greater accomplishments.
Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele equally joined in celebrating the milestone, simply writing: “Congratulations, my guy.”
Mr. Macaroni rose to prominence through his popular comedy skits, particularly his widely recognized Daddy Wa character, which has become a fan favorite across social media platforms.
Beyond comedy, he has steadily expanded his presence in Nollywood, featuring in several film and television productions and establishing himself as a versatile entertainer.
His latest academic achievement marks another important milestone in his journey, demonstrating his commitment to developing his acting skills beyond the popularity and success he has already achieved.
For the entertainer, the distinction is not just another certificate but recognition of the time, discipline, and effort invested in sharpening his craft.
