A senior member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Biodun Ajiboye, has branded the African Democratic Congress (ADC) an “evil coalition,” warning that its activities could jeopardise Nigeria’s future.
Ajiboye made the remarks on Monday while appearing on Politics Today on Channels Television, where he criticised the ADC for consistently attacking the current administration.
According to him, Nigerians must be cautious, insisting that the coalition poses a serious threat to the country’s stability.
“If Nigerians are not careful with these people called the ADC, they will destroy Nigeria’s future,” Ajiboye said.
He further argued that the country is already grappling with serious security challenges, including insurgency involving groups such as ISIS and ISWAP, and questioned why the government should be criticised for seeking professional support.
“Is it wrong to engage public relations experts? Is lobbying a crime?” he asked. “In public relations, when a situation becomes difficult and persuasion channels are limited, experts are needed to manage perceptions and calm tensions.”
Ajiboye dismissed claims that the government had mismanaged the country, accusing the ADC of deliberately misleading the public.
“These people are extremely wicked, and Nigerians need to realise that the ADC coalition is evil,” he stated.
He also took aim at criticisms over spending on public relations, arguing that such efforts helped prevent what he described as potential national instability caused by unpredictable leadership decisions.
