Tanzanian music icon Diamond Platnumz and his wife, singer Zuchu, have reportedly ended their marriage, with the couple now going through divorce proceedings.
Zuchu made the announcement on her Instagram Story on Sunday, revealing that their six-year relationship had come to an end.
Although she did not disclose the reason behind the separation, the singer said they had done their best to make the marriage work, adding that events had unfolded according to Allah’s will.
She explained that she had chosen to prioritize her well-being, health, and career, saying the decision was made after much reflection.
According to Zuchu, “My husband and I are now separated and going through a divorce. I share this with a heavy heart. After six years together, I have decided to choose myself. This is a time for healing and focusing on my health and career.”
Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu officially tied the knot in June 2025 after being in a relationship for five years.
Following the announcement, Diamond Platnumz’s former partner, socialite Zari Hasan, who previously ended her relationship with the singer over allegations of infidelity, praised Zuchu for her resilience and the way she handled the relationship.
