Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has responded to Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo by sharing the governor’s WAEC result online after he mocked Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke over his frequent dancing at public events.
Okpebholo, while addressing supporters at a political gathering in a viral video, criticised Adeleke’s leadership style and urged Osun voters not to re-elect him in the upcoming governorship election.
The Edo governor argued that Adeleke’s constant dancing at official functions showed he was not focused on governance.
He also advised voters to collect any money offered during campaigns but vote according to their conscience.
Shortly after the video gained attention, Davido posted what appeared to be Okpebholo’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) result on his Instagram page without any caption.
The shared result reportedly showed grades of D7 in Commerce, Christian Religious Knowledge, Economics and English Language, E8 in Government, and C5 in Mathematics.
Although Davido did not explain the reason for the post, many social media users interpreted it as a subtle response to Okpebholo’s comments about his uncle, Governor Adeleke.
