JUST IN : AGN Lifts Suspension on Actress Halima Abubakar
The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has lifted the suspension placed on Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar, bringing to an end a disciplinary measure that lasted more than a year.
Abubakar was placed on an indefinite suspension in October 2024 following allegations of defamation involving fellow actors and other prominent Nigerians. After an extensive investigation, a disciplinary panel found her culpable and barred her from participating in AGN activities and film productions.
However, the guild announced on Thursday that the suspension had been lifted.
The outgoing National President of AGN, Emeka Rollas, disclosed this during the inauguration of the guild’s new National Executive Council (NEC) at the AGN national secretariat in Abuja.
