
The Lagos State Government has opened registration for the Lagos State Graduate Internship Placement Program, offering fresh graduates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in their chosen fields.
According to a post on the state’s X handle on Friday, the programme is fully funded by the state and provides participants with a stipend, professional mentorship, and training in soft skills and business etiquette aimed at enhancing employability.
“The Graduate Internship Placement Programme is designed to equip fresh graduates with practical experience, ongoing mentorship, and the skills that employers value.
“Fresh Graduate? This Is Your Sign to Take Action! The Lagos State Graduate Internship Placement Program (GIPP) registration is now open! Get hands-on experience in your field. Earn a stipend fully funded by Lagos State Build soft skills & business etiquette that employers actually want. Ongoing mentorship & support throughout your journey. Registration closes 10th April 2026 and it’s open to new applicants only,” the post added.
The initiative targets new applicants only, with registration set to close on April 10, 2026. Participants will receive guidance throughout the programme, allowing them to develop both technical and professional competencies that will prepare them for the workforce.
The Lagos State Government described the program as a key effort to reduce graduate unemployment while building a pool of skilled, workplace-ready professionals.
“We want graduates to leave this program with more than just a certificate. They should gain practical knowledge, improved soft skills, and experience to succeed in any professional environment,” the post read.
Interested graduates are encouraged to apply promptly to take advantage of this opportunity to gain practical experience, mentorship, and career development support through the GIPP.
