Tinubu to Inaugurate Airport, Aircraft, and Key Infrastructure in Ogun

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to visit Ogun State on Saturday to commission and inspect a range of major infrastructure projects, highlighting the state’s drive for economic development and improved public services.

According to a statement by the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, the visit will cover projects across aviation, transportation, security, and agriculture.

A major highlight of the visit is the inauguration of the Gateway International Airport in Iperu, along with two aircraft under Gateway Air, in collaboration with ValueJet. The President is also expected to observe a cargo operations demonstration facilitated by SAHCOL.

Other projects lined up for commissioning include 1,000 electric bikes under the state’s mobility scheme, 80 security vehicles, and a fleet of agricultural tractors aimed at boosting food production.

In addition, Tinubu will commission the Ilishan–Iperu Airport Road, inspect the Nigeria Customs Service Village, and inaugurate a Forward Operating Base.

The visit will also feature an inspection of the Gateway Aviation Village and the commissioning of the reconstructed Sapade–Ilishan Road, which will be named the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Expressway.

The trip will conclude with an inspection of the ongoing Sagamu–Benin Concrete Road project.
