UPDATE : ADC crisis, INEC needs to be careful – Jega says

A public affairs analyst, Mahmud Jega, has claimed the current crisis that has engulfed the African Democratic Congress, ADC, is being engineered.

Fielding questions in an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time’ on Friday, Jega warned the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to be very careful.

ADC is faced with an internal crisis leading to the stripping of former Senate President David Mark as the national chairman of the party.

Airing his opinion, Jega said, “The crisis in the ADC is being engineered. And INEC has to be very careful.

“The impression INEC is giving is that it is part of the scheme to destroy all opposition parties.

“The opposition wanted the ADA; INEC sat on it for 2 years. Now they have moved to ADC, and they are coming up with something else.”
