Yakubu Muhammad Kingsley has obtained the presidential nomination form of the Peoples Redemption Party in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
The nomination form was collected on Thursday at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.
Kingsley, widely known as YMK, declared his readiness to challenge Bola Ahmed Tinubu for Nigeria’s top political office.
Speaking after receiving the form, YMK explained that his ambition was motivated by a desire to improve governance and raise the standard of living for Nigerians. He stressed the need for things to be properly handled in the country.
The Director-General of the YMK Campaign Organisation, Aliyu Abdullahi Jibia, described the move as proof of the campaign’s seriousness and dedication to rebuilding the nation.
According to Jibia, the decision to run under the PRP platform was influenced by the party’s ideology and its long-standing commitment to the welfare of ordinary citizens and the less privileged.
He said:
“We have shown the world today that we are members of the Peoples Redemption Party, and we are fully prepared to contest under the platform of the party.”
Women Encouraged To Intensify Mobilisation
The National Women Leader of the YMK campaign, Maryam Ringim, called on women and party supporters nationwide to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and membership registration ahead of the PRP primaries.
She emphasized the important role women play in political mobilisation and urged them to rally support for the candidate ahead of the 2027 elections.
Ringim also assured supporters that YMK would pursue an inclusive government centred on youth and women empowerment if elected president.
